EnviroCluster is a business support initiative run by the UK Centre for Economic & Environmental Development (UK CEED). It was set up in 2002 to support businesses and organisations in the Low Carbon and Environmental Goods and Services (LCEGS) sector. EnviroCluster operates from the Eco Innovation Centre in Peterborough and serves to support eco-innovative businesses across both Greater Peterborough and the East of England.
Our Strategy
The main aims of the EnviroCluster initiative are to:
- Support eco-innovation and growth amongst environment-sector businesses;
- Stimulate the creation of new environment-sector businesses and attract inward investment;
- Assist in the internationalisation of regional environment-sector businesses;
- Promote skills development, knowledge sharing and networking capability;
- Develop links with international eco-innovation clusters;
- Develop and implement flagship R&D and commercial projects;
- Support the Low Carbon Innovation Programme in the East of England;
- Contribute to Peterborough’s positioning as the UK’s Environment Capital.
