One of the UKs largest environmental consultancies currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental modeller to join their team based in Cambridge. The team provides expert solutions and impact investigations in to new chemicals on behalf of public and private bodies.

Qualification - Suitable candidates for this role will hold an excellent academic background with a scientific based degree (ideally 2.1 or above) and preferably with an environmental science background. Professional qualifications and membership are advantageous.

Experience - It is anticipated that candidates hold previous regulatory environmental fate modelling experience, and a good grasp of modelling tools eg FOCUS models.

Duties Include:
- Undertaking environmental risk assessments
- Using guidance notes and modelling tools
- Determining estimates of environmental exposure
- Writing risk assessment reports
- Liaising with clients
- Developing mathematical and theoretical modelling projects

Typical Projects

Working on a variety of projects on behalf of public and private bodies, providing expert analysis and risk assessments for new chemical products to market. Typical market areas include pesticides, biocides, veterinary products, and general chemicals.
