Project Partners
The Peterborough EnviroCluster Retrofit group is made up of local experts from the Greater Peterborough area. The project team is made up from a combination of Building Managers (RSLs), Local Authority & Statutory Authority Stakeholders, Specialist Construction Consultants (Architects, Environmental Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Sustainability Consultants), Researchers and Specialist Suppliers. Anglian Water
Anglian Water is the largest water and wastewater company in England and Wales, covering 27,500 square kilometres, representing 18 per cent of the area of England and Wales. We provide water and wastewater services to more than five million domestic and commercial customers in the east of England and Hartlepool.

Cunnington Clark is a building services and design engineering company with a specialism in low energy and sustainable design. Cunnington Clark are also assessors for EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes.
Based in Peterborough, Cunnington Clark aim to educate and inform their clients on the benefits of energy saving, low carbon design and renewables.
Davis Langdon
Davis Langdon is a leading global construction consultancy, providing managed solutions for clients investing in infrastructure, property and construction. We are currently working on some of the most complex and challenging projects encompassing sectors as diverse as commercial and retail property, education, health, leisure and residential. Past high profile projects include Tate Modern London, Liverpool One and the Eden Project Cornwall.

F. E. Peacock - part of the Larkfleet Group - combines traditional building skills and attention to detail with modern methods of design and construction.
We build high quality homes and retail, industrial and commercial buildings for clients throughout East Anglia and the East Midlands, focusing on Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. Our expertise extends beyond the role of a traditional building contractor to include assistance with planning, design and environmental sustainability - particularly meeting the Code for Sustainable Homes.

GreenSpec
GreenSpec aims to become a one stop shop encyclopaedia of Green Construction, including product pages, material property comparisons, material design guides, renewable energy and efficiency system guides, sustainability checklist: what to avoid, consider, reclaim and recycle; design guidance, image bank, recently expanded domestic refurbishment, jargon buster, site waste guidance, durability and whole life costs; GreenSpecConsult access to some of UK's green building consultants; opinion, directories of manufacturers, suppliers, fabricators and craftsmen; reclamation for reuse; policies and strategies; research papers, continuing professional development seminars and much more being added all the time.
New and future features include design guidance, passive gains, sitting and orientation, direct solar gain, sunspaces, thermal walls, exploiting thermal mass. MyGreenSpec Specification assembly tool is online; Low cost CPD and Specification downloads will become available during 2010. Useful for all construction professionals and public alike, 1000 unique visitors/day make use of it.
Intra-grated Solutions
Intra-grated Solutions Ltd is a specialist distributor of ‘Green’ Technologies. The company is headed up by Managing Director – Dave Sheldon, a Chartered Building Services Engineer, who after amassing over 30 years experience in Energy Management and Design (NHS, Barclays Bank, DSA) started up ISL to provide the growing market need for ‘Green’ Technology. Dave Sheldon is supported further by his son Chris, Technical Director who has over 5 years experience in the Heat Pump / Controls / AV market, and is a certified KNX Partner / LG Commisioning Engineer.
The team is strengthened further by ISL’s enthusiastic sales department headed up by Luke Richardson and Andrew Sheldon. Luke has over 8 years experience in Customer Relations, whilst Andrew has spent the last 4 years in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor, working in the sectors of Health, Education, Judicial and Aviation.
Moixa Energy
Moixa creates distinctive new technologies and product categories by rethinking market axioms. We believe that the basic principle of 20th Century Power Supply - the AC 110/240v mains is simply inappropriate, inefficient and wasteful for 21st Century power needs.
At Moixa Energy we are researching and developing new methods of implementing such power supplies, particularly via local renewable energy generation, or more efficiently from traditional supplies, as well as better battery technology more suitable for modern electronics and portable device needs.
Peterborough City Council
Peterborough City Council is a local unitary authority. PCC are contributing expertise in the areas of planning, climate change strategy and education.
Solar Air UK
Solar Air UK - An MCS accredited (MCS 1294, NAP 12465) renewable installation and servicing company with more than 20 combined years of specialist microgeneration experience. Covering an area from Peterborough to East Anglia, Leicestershire to Kent, we supply and install solar hot water systems, solar electricity (photovoltaic), and heat pumps to a range of clients from private homeowners to local authorities, social housing providers to developers. With access to government grants and the latest renewable technology, we can provide advice and tailor packages to suit most projects and budgets. All of our installations are of the highest standards, comprehensively insured and covered by extensive guarantees.
Stroma
Stroma is a multi-disciplinary construction services company operating throughout the UK and Ireland. Collectively, the group adopts a co-ordinated approach to building sustainability and compliance, identifying and implementing the optimal planned or remedial measures for meeting energy performance targets and compliance requirements across the residential, commercial and public sectors. Whether for new build or retrofit projects, Stroma can identify and deliver the services required at each stage to achieve legislative compliance, reduce running costs and carbon emissions, and improve occupier comfort levels.
Services include traditional architecture and sustainable design; CO2 emission calculations and energy assessment; air-tightness and acoustic testing and consultancy; compliance testing and consultancy; building fabric protection and enhancement; energy management and carbon reduction consultancy; and certification and training. Stroma’s strategies cover all aspects of sustainability and compliance within the built environment, and are tailored to meet the demands of each client and building.
UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development
The UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (UK CEED) is an independent, not-for-profit foundation. It was established in 1984 by a group of far-sighted leaders from the business, government and scientific communities. Responding to the recommendations of the UN World Conservation Strategy, the Centre was originally set up to support, co-ordinate and monitor implementation of the Conservation and Development Programme for the UK.
Its particular remit was to provide an evidence base for demonstrating how environmental protection and economic development priorities could be reconciled and also for promoting the central role of the business sector in environmental improvement. It thus became an early advocate of what was to become known as sustainable development.
University of Cambridge
The Centre for Sustainable Development at Cambridge University Engineering Department was established in 2000, following support provided by the Royal Academy of Engineering for introducing concepts of sustainability over all undergraduate engineering courses. The Centre adopts a multi-disciplinary approach and has undertaken a wide range of research into the concepts of sustainable development and how it can be applied to the practice of Engineering.
Waterland Associates
Waterland Associates are Chartered Architects with a particular specialisation in works to existing buildings; helping our clients make their buildings a perfect fit for the future.
We offer expertise in upgrading the construction of all existing buildings, to ensure they best serve the needs of their owners, and are as energy efficient as possible. We also provide more specialist advice on the alteration, refurbishment and conservation of buildings of historic importance, including listed buildings.
Of course we design beautiful new buildings as well!
