The Peterborough EnviroCluster Retrofit group is made up of local experts from the Greater Peterborough area. The project team is made up from a combination of Building Managers (RSLs), Local Authority & Statutory Authority Stakeholders, Specialist Construction Consultants (Architects, Environmental Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Sustainability Consultants), Researchers and Specialist Suppliers. Based in Peterborough, Cunnington Clark aim to educate and inform their clients on the benefits of energy saving, low carbon design and renewables.

GreenSpecGreenSpec aims to become a one stop shop encyclopaedia of Green Construction, including product pages, material property comparisons, material design guides, renewable energy and efficiency system guides, sustainability checklist: what to avoid, consider, reclaim and recycle; design guidance, image bank, recently expanded domestic refurbishment, jargon buster, site waste guidance, durability and whole life costs; GreenSpecConsult access to some of UK's green building consultants; opinion, directories of manufacturers, suppliers, fabricators and craftsmen; reclamation for reuse; policies and strategies; research papers, continuing professional development seminars and much more being added all the time.

New and future features include design guidance, passive gains, sitting and orientation, direct solar gain, sunspaces, thermal walls, exploiting thermal mass. MyGreenSpec Specification assembly tool is online; Low cost CPD and Specification downloads will become available during 2010. Useful for all construction professionals and public alike, 1000 unique visitors/day make use of it.

Intra-grated Solutions

Intra-grated SolutionsIntra-grated Solutions Ltd is a specialist distributor of ‘Green’ Technologies. The company is headed up by Managing Director – Dave Sheldon, a Chartered Building Services Engineer, who after amassing over 30 years experience in Energy Management and Design (NHS, Barclays Bank, DSA) started up ISL to provide the growing market need for ‘Green’ Technology. Dave Sheldon is supported further by his son Chris, Technical Director who has over 5 years experience in the Heat Pump / Controls / AV market, and is a certified KNX Partner / LG Commisioning Engineer.

The team is strengthened further by ISL’s enthusiastic sales department headed up by Luke Richardson and Andrew Sheldon. Luke has over 8 years experience in Customer Relations, whilst Andrew has spent the last 4 years in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor, working in the sectors of Health, Education, Judicial and Aviation.

Moixa Energy

Moixa EnergyMoixa creates distinctive new technologies and product categories by rethinking market axioms. We believe that the basic principle of 20th Century Power Supply - the AC 110/240v mains is simply inappropriate, inefficient and wasteful for 21st Century power needs.

At Moixa Energy we are researching and developing new methods of implementing such power supplies, particularly via local renewable energy generation, or more efficiently from traditional supplies, as well as better battery technology more suitable for modern electronics and portable device needs.

UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development

UK CEEDThe UK Centre for Economic and Environmental Development (UK CEED) is an independent, not-for-profit foundation. It was established in 1984 by a group of far-sighted leaders from the business, government and scientific communities. Responding to the recommendations of the UN World Conservation Strategy, the Centre was originally set up to support, co-ordinate and monitor implementation of the Conservation and Development Programme for the UK.

Its particular remit was to provide an evidence base for demonstrating how environmental protection and economic development priorities could be reconciled and also for promoting the central role of the business sector in environmental improvement. It thus became an early advocate of what was to become known as sustainable development.

University of Cambridge

University of CambridgeThe Centre for Sustainable Development at Cambridge University Engineering Department was established in 2000, following support provided by the Royal Academy of Engineering for introducing concepts of sustainability over all undergraduate engineering courses. The Centre adopts a multi-disciplinary approach and has undertaken a wide range of research into the concepts of sustainable development and how it can be applied to the practice of Engineering.

We also provide more specialist advice on the alteration, refurbishment and conservation of buildings of historic importance, including listed buildings.
